Bio's

Jason Wolf
is responsible for business development in North America
for Better Place. In this role, he strives to form strategic partnerships with
energy companies, automobile manufacturers, investors, governments
and other key parties in an effort to create infrastructure for the mass
adoption of electric vehicles.  

Wolf brings more than 11 years of management experience in the IT
industry, having held various positions in strategic planning, product
rollouts, sales and professional services. In his last role, Wolf served as
president of Sterna Technologies USA, the pioneer of Business
Positioning Systems software. Prior to joining Sterna, he held a number
of positions during a 10-year career at SAP AG, including senior vice
president of Strategic Initiatives and senior vice president of New Product
Introductions.

Wolf holds a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from the University of Tel-
Aviv, and an MBA from San Jose State University.  From 1986 to 1993, he
served as an officer in the Israeli military.

Gerd Goette is Managing Partner, based in Palo Alto , CA . He specializes
in investments in energy, communications and industrial solutions. His
investments include Broadlight, Dune Networks, Kagoor Networks
(acquired by Juniper Networks), Movius (f.k.a. IP-Unity Glenayre), Myrio
(acquired by Siemens), Reactive NanoTechnologies and Verimatrix. In
addition he manages SVC's investments in BPL Global, G2
Microsystems, GENBAND, Montavista, Newmerix, Prenova,  SmartSynch
and Zolo Technologies. With more than 20 years of worldwide industry
experience, he combines a strong technical background with wide-
ranging operational skills. Prior to joining Siemens Venture Capital in
September 2000, Gerd held the position of Vice President and Head of
CableTV Solutions in Siemens Information and Communication
Networks. Additionally, Gerd's managerial and operating expertise stems
from earlier focus on R&D, system integration, product line management,
technical sales support, project management and general management
in the fields of telecommunication equipment and solutions. Gerd
received a master's degree in electrical engineering (Dipl. Ing.) from
Technical University Darmstadt, Germany.

Fred Greguras is a partner in the Palo Alto office of K&L Gates who
focuses his practice on strategic issues for global software, internet,
media and life sciences companies - with an emphasis on the start-up
and emerging company stages. This includes, in particular, financings of
various types, M&A and a full range of other transactions in both domestic
and international marketplaces. In the international arena, Mr. Greguras
has substantial experience representing companies with a market focus
on or operations in China and India, and in supporting investors from
those countries. During his 25-plus year tenure in the Silicon Valley, Mr.
Greguras has also been a venture capitalist and a general counsel and
CFO for a startup. He received a BA in mathematics from University of
Omaha in 1966, a MS in mathematics and computer science in 1968,
and his J.D. in 1975 from the University of Nebraska. Mr. Greguras is a
member of the State Bar of California.

Sven Strohband Sven Strohband brings engineering and operational
experience to the MDV team and supports the partnership in sourcing
and evaluating investments in the areas of software, systems and
materials. Prior to MDV, Sven spent three years at the Volkswagen
Electronics Research Laboratory (ERL) in Palo Alto where he was
responsible for discovering new materials and electronics technologies
for automotive applications. He was also the Stanford Racing team's lead
engineer. The team developed a robot that successfully navigated132
miles of unknown terrain fully autonomously in the fastest time, winning
the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge.Sven has authored numerous papers
on the simulation of materials systems and authored various patents for
novel automotive electronics applications. Sven received a doctorate and
master's degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. He
also earned a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue
University.

Scott Nelson focuses on litigation and federal policy, working jointly in
K&L Gates' Washington, DC and Portland offices. He has worked closely
with cleantech companies seeking policy assistance related to the
Stimulus Package, with an emphasis on maximizing the tax provisions.
Prior to joining the firm, he served on the staff of U.S. Senator Byron
Dorgan (D–ND) in several capacities, most recently as deputy chief of
staff. Scott also worked at the U.S. Department of Energy under Secretary
Bill Richardson.

Bill Reichert has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and an
operating executive. Since joining Garage in 1998, Bill has focused on
early-stage information technology and materials science companies. He
sits on the Boards of CaseStack, WhiteHat, ClearFuels, cFares, and
ThermoCeramix. Prior to Garage, Bill was a co-founder or senior
executive in several venture-backed technology startups, including
Trademark Software, The Learning Company, and Academic Systems.
Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company, Brown Brothers
Harriman & Co., and the World Bank. Bill earned a B.A. at Harvard
College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He was a founding board
member and a Chairman of the Churchill Club, and a Charter Member of
the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs. Currently he is the
Chairman of the Small Fund Roundtable of the VC Taskforce and a
member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.

Henry H. Wong found Diamond TechVentures and a VenturePartner at
Garage Technology Ventures has resided in China & Silicon Valley for the
last 25 years.  From being a Serial Entrepreneur to a Venture Capitalist,
Wong is in a unique position where he can fully utilize his operational
experience, and investment talent to help build companies with a global
vision and encourage entrepreneurship.

In his prior Fund, Crystal Ventures, Wong was active with portfolio
companies including SMIC, LGC Wireless, Infinera, and Exavio.  A
seasoned investor and entrepreneur, Wong has succeeded as the
founder, chairman & CEO of SS8 Networks Inc., IP Communications,
XaQti Semiconductor, CNet Technology Inc., and Combinet (ISDN
Systems).  His success, experience and leadership are invaluable in his
role as an Investor, Serial Entrepreneur and mentor in Silicon Valley.

In 2002, Wong was the finalist to receive the “Entrepreneur of the Year
Award”.  Wong is an Advisor to 6 non-profit organizations and is active with
community events.  In education, Mr. Wong received a B.Sc. degree in
Business from University of Utah and a MBA in Telecom Management
from Golden Gate University.
